Pop-Art First Anniversary: The New Year's Boycott
And What Will Be Left Of Them?, iDou, Macaca Mulatta + Mr Solo
30.12.06 @ The Lark in the Park Islington

Onto the final band of the night then - well, almost. Before that we are 'treated' to the teeth-clenching punnery of Dave 'The Bullet' Rees (sample: "For Christmas, someone gave me the greatest hits of The Police - it wasn't much cop.")

Enough of that though, it's time for lengthily monikered Worcesterians And What Will Be Left of Them? (who will henceforth be referred to by the not much less clunky acronym AWWBLOT?), who manage somehow to find a find of capturing the essence of all that is fun in indie-pop music and distilling it into two and a half minute bursts of off-kilter lo-fi pop joy, aided and abetted by the charming onstage presence of dual frontpeople Red White and Blue Peter.

It's a stonking way to finish off the year's gigging - New Year's Eve? Who needs it? (More AWWBLOT photos here.)
