Maps

Can it be true? It only seems like yesterday that we were cobbling together the first issue of Maps, but 24 months later here we are at one of our favourite London venues, The Luminaire, to celebrate 2 years of Mapping.

The audience are starting to filter in, and having been plied with delicious free cakes baked by the fair hand of our very own Nancy Roxx, give a warm welcome to the first band, Abdoujaparov. Less than 2 months ago, frontman Les Carter was playing to a packed out Brixton Academy in a reunion gig with his old band Carter USM, however he's equally at home in the cosier confines of The Luminaire, and Abdou's upbeat punky sound goes down a treat.
