2007 according to...
Joe Gideon & The Shark

This was our first full year as a band. Gideon & Viva, brother & sister, all growed up.

Played many great shows. A thrilling show for us... Supporting Archie Bronson Outfit at Le Botanique, Brussels, April 15th. A most beautiful venue. The audience was with us; all wide open. You could hear a pin drop. Gideon was sporting a particularly strong brand of hangover that day. Sometimes this can work well for you. It can take the edge of fear off. This was also the first time Gideon used a stage prop. A wooden sword; a gift from an Archie.

Another standout show, playing in Paris at La Fleche D'Or (The Golden Arrow), October 25th. No rehearsals, Viva had hurt her foot. Doctors were baffled. The adrenaline got her through. 400 smoking Parissienes. Paris still smokes. Earlier, in a restaurant, we'd seen the unusual sight of a man smoking a cigarette while eating salad.

Great sayings of the year....
You should never say your age out loud, or else your face might hear.
You have to kiss a few frogs to find a prince.
To be invisible is to learn how to hide in front of something.
Blushing is tell-tale blood.
You should keep an open mind, but not so open your brain falls out.

Gideon's favourite album of the year has to be 'We Are Him' by Angels Of Light. And Viva's is the 'Sound Of Silver' by LCD Soundsystem.
And seeing the return of Gallon Drunk has been really exciting, too.

And so we thank Maps, Paul and the good Ms Nancy Roxx for listening.

Now we must go to 2008.... G&V
